Dernancourt School is located 12km north east of the Adelaide CBD, not far from tree-lined linear park. We have high quality learning programs and an environment that maximises the potential of all students. The school's logo learning together is an icon of our positive relationships. We value the richness of the many cultures within our community. Students with a non-English speaking background have extra support and comprise 35% of our school population. We also have two district special classes.

The current focus is student engagement and well-being, literacy, numeracy and Information Communication Technology (ICT). We have interactive white boards in all classrooms. Further, a Neuroscience coordinator enables learners to access the latest developments in knowledge about the brain. Students with high intellectual potential are supported through a wide range of approaches and we have a comprehensive intervention program. Music and Japanese are specialist subjects.

We encourage each child to do their very best and parents are highly valued in our community.
